iBYGO New User's Guide: Getting started

This guide is designed to help buyers who are new to iBYGO.

What is iBYGO?

iBYGO is the buyer's home page, providing powerful web enabled ordering functionality. iBYGO enables buyers to exchange purchase orders with suppliers over the world wide web.

How to create a "Buyer Account" (an iBYGO account) on BYGO.

For a person to be able to place orders with a supplier they first must sign up with BYGO and create an iBYGO account . To do this press the "Buyer Registration" icon on the BYGO Home Page or click here to register.

Immediately after you complete the registration form BYGO will send you an
e-mail instantaneously. If you don't receive an e-mail within 24 hours, you might have misspelled your e-mail address and it would be best to re-enter your information. Your confirmation e-mail from BYGO will contain your username, password and an account activation code. Press on the hot link provided in the e-mail and follow the instructions. Once this is complete you will become a BYGO Buyer and will be forwarded to your custom, iBYGO Buyer Home page. This page is the Buyer's home on iBYGO, housing the ordering functionality (among other things!).

Then from the iBYGO page the buyer must enter into a Trusted Relationship with that supplier.

How a buyer can set themselves up to send an order to a supplier.

For a buyer to send an order to a supplier they must first have signed up under iBYGO as a Registered Guest (To do this click here). Then from the iBYGO page the buyer must enter into a Trusted Relationship with that supplier to become an official Registered Buyer.

The first way is for a buyer to send a request to a supplier asking that supplier to enter into a Trusted Relationship. This can be accomplished by pressing the "Enter into a Trusted Relationship" icon on iBYGO, then choosing the supplier from the drop-down list, and sending the request. The supplier will then approve or decline the request. Either way, the buyer will be informed by e-mail of the result. If the buyer is approved by the supplier, the supplier's name will appear in the "Trusted Supplier" list in the top left hand corner of iBYGO. The buyer is then free to place orders with that supplier.

The second way for a buyer and supplier to enter into a Trusted Relationship is for the supplier to set up a buyer in the supplier's management site. In this case the supplier already knows the buyer and their details. The supplier fills in the information, then sends the buyer an invitation by e-mail or snail-mail. The buyer receives the invitation, and then navigates to iBYGO, presses the "respond to Supplier invitation" icon (located at the bottom of iBYGO), and follows the instructions. This process will send the supplier the request to enter into a Trusted Relationship, flagged as pre-approved. Once the supplier agrees to the buyer, the supplier's company name will appear in the buyer's list of "Trusted Suppliers" located in the upper left hand corner of the iBYGO web page. The buyer is now able to place orders with the supplier.
